An extended check covering sail and motor handling, licensing and inland (CEVNI) knowledge for your ICC assessment.

Manoeuvring under power, berthing, turning in confined spaces.

I can manoeuvre under power ahead and astern with control

I can berth alongside and leave a berth under power

I can turn the boat in its own length in a confined space

I understand the effect of prop walk and wind on the boat

Seamanship & ropework

Knots, mooring, anchoring and deck work.

I can tie a bowline, clove hitch and cleat a line correctly

I can prepare and use lines, springs and fenders

I can anchor and recover an anchor

Safety & emergencies

Man overboard, safety equipment and radio.

I can carry out a man overboard recovery

I know the required safety equipment and how to use it

I can make a VHF distress call

Licensing & regulations

ICC validity, insurance, documentation and local rules.

I understand where an ICC is required and what it covers

I know the documentation to carry aboard (insurance, registration, licences)

Inland signs, signals, lights and rules of the road.
